Kings Beach & The Broken Headland National Park

                 Welcome to Paradise .....

Kings or Queens, the beach for you. Kings beach is an icon in the region that can be
traced back as far as 80 years as a beach visited by gay men. It’s now a world renowned
gay beach, visited by hundreds of national and international tourists annually.
Due to it’s popularity, we wish to provide you with some info to help make your stay more pleasant.

HOW TO GET THERE...
From Byron CBD, head down Jonson St past Woolworths on your right. Follow this road around
the corner and at the round about, circle right down Broken Head Road.

 `Drop by Suffolk Park shops (Suffolk Bakery) to grab a snack or some lunch and of course
some water, as there is no facilities once you get to Kings Beach.

Just past Suffolk Park on the Broken Head road, you will see a sign to
Broken Head, turn left here. Travel for about 1 km, & at the bottom of the hill
you will see Seven Mile Rd, turn right here. This is a dusty road & we advise
you to drive carefully. You will come to the first carpark, you turn here.
Remember to secure your car & valuables & now take the path to the beach.

SOME HINTS...
This is a nature reserve so stick to the tracks provided. Take all rubbish home
with you, and be sure to bin those butts. Beware of snakes, most will get out
of your way if not provoked, however, if you get bitten, stay calm and seek
help immediately.     Brush Turkeys are harmless, but they may take off with
your food, so zip up your beach bag.    Strong water undercurrents can cause
a dangerous cross flow called a rip, & if you are unsure of the conditions, just
ask a friendly local. Mobile reception is limited, so just leave the phone at home
and ..... revel in the paradise you came to enjoy.
